at Texas A&M University ::
Spring 2008– Howdy! – Can you believe that it is 2008? We welcome back all Aggies and extend a special welcome to all new Aggies. We strive to make your dining experiences the best with both flexibility and options that will suit your individual lifestyle. Our new meal plan options have been a success with the students, since students’ feedback has been the basis for our meal plans.Each meal plan, whether it be one with more Dining Dollar$ or one with more Meals, has many delectable choices. AND……most importantly......the meal plans have a built-in discount to save you money whenever you dine on campus. Our entire dining services team looks forward to serving you.As always, I want to keep you updated on the latest innovations, changes, additions and plans for future projects. I am pleased to share with you the following information:
Dining Services has introduced Kosher food at Duncan Dining Hall.
We are pleased to introduce a new concept at our Pie Are Square location entitled “Pickles” – serving soups, salads and “made-to-order” sandwiches.
Farmers’ Market, our open-air market with fresh fruits and vegetables, will reopen in the Spring in Rudder Plaza.
Halal food continues to be a successful addition to at Sbisa Dining Hall.
The addition of Tomato Bar Express and Which Wich Superior Sandwiches at Ag Café has been a great addition to that dining experience.
Dining Services continues its “no Trans Fat” cooking oil policy in ALL of our restaurants and catering service processes.
Dining Services has added a “Weekend Brunch” from 10:00 am -2:00 pm (Saturday and Sunday) at Sbisa. Highlights include cooked to order omelets, fruit and vegetable bar, carving station, waffles and more!
Upgrading and improving our facilities is an on-going process for the present and the future.
We continue to consult with our Student Advisory Committee to bring fresh ideas and assist us in implementing innovative changes for our Aggie students, faculty and staff members.
We continue to utilize TAMU’s own cooking oil to fuel our “Bio-Diesel” truck.
Aggie Moms’ Club took part in our last Baker’s Night and that tradition will continue this Spring.

Dining Services’ is proud to be a part of this prestigious institution. Our employees have more than 3,400 years of service and many have been with Texas A&M for more than 30 years. Our excellent staff is committed to “Feeding the Aggie Spirit” as evidenced by the quality of our employees, facilities, menus, level of customer service, as well as the quality of our products.
